Anise spice: 

Use on baked apples. Add to cakes, cookies, breads, biscuits, candy, stewed fruits, fruit pies, beef stew, fish dishes, hot or cold spice beverages, soups, cheese, salad dressings, sausages, and appetizers. Anise spice can do nice things in cooking, especially in meat.

Star anise is the fruit of an evergreen tree in China and is a key ingredient in five-spice powder (which consists of cloves, cinnamon, fennel and Sichuan peppercorns). It's flavor resembles that of liquorices, fennel, and tarragon. It is a key ingredient in Champurrado which is a hot thick Mexican drink made of corn masa and chocolate and is similar to American hot coco.


*Anise Spice when made into a liquid scent is used for fishing. It is put on fishing lures to attract fish.​
