Macaroni With Cheddar Cheese

*This delicious cheese sauce can also be spooned over toasted bread for Welsh Rarebit also called Welsh Rabbit.

Ingredients:
8 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon paprika
8 tablespoons flour
4 cups hot milk
16 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Cooked macaroni 

Optional: In a sauce pan, start with boiling down 1/2 cup of your favorite wine and reduce the volume by 60-70% then make the above recipe in the same sauce pan.​




Instructions:
Melt butter or margarine until hot, and then add the flour, stirring constantly about five minutes or until the mixture bubbles.


Pour in the hot milk in small amounts, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth. 

Add the Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Remove from the stove, and stir in the grated cheese, mixing until cheese is melted. Keep hot.

Mix the cheese sauce with cooked macaroni pasta

Makes 10 cups of cheese sauce.

Leftover sauce can be frozen for use another day
